The customer handover is part of the service.
Customer experience
A customer experiences one business, even when several people are involved in delivering the work. The transition from a sales conversation to a delivery team is therefore a practical test of how well the business coordinates itself.
Write down what was agreed: the scope, timing, customer responsibilities and any important limits. Include the reason the customer chose the service. That context can help the delivery team understand which details deserve particular attention.
Give the customer a clear introduction to the person handling the next stage. Explain what happens now, how they can ask questions and when they should expect an update. Silence after a positive sales conversation can create uncertainty that is easy to avoid.
When something is missed, examine the handover rather than immediately blaming an individual. Was the information available? Was responsibility clear? A short shared checklist, tested against actual jobs, can make service more consistent as the business grows.
